Examines population diversity for ecological, archaeological and ethno-historical data sources, emphasizing economic and social variability while considering social change through time. Evidence suggests unexpected levels of social variability and complexity. Discussion includes Alakaluf, Selk'nam and Yaghan (or Yamana) peoples of Tierra del Fuego and Islands of Beagle Channel. |
