Abstract: | Reports seasonal sampling of nursery site for Alaska skate (Bathyraja parmifera) from June 2004-July 2005. At site (located in highly productive area at head of Bering Canyon) reproductive males and females dominated catch and neonate and juvenile skates were rare. Seasonal samples showed that summertime was peak reproductive time in nursery although some reproduction occurred throughout year. |
