Abstract: Presents eyewitness accounts of First World War Battle of Falkland Islands by J.A. Brander and Thomas Gash, both sailors on lower deck of battle cruiser HMS Inflexible sent from England to intercept German squadron under Admiral von Spee, after British defeat off Coronel and fears that Germans might occupy Stanley and its strategically important radio station.
