Record #189795:

Centre for Ice Climate and Ecosystems - ICE / Anon.

Title: Centre for Ice Climate and Ecosystems - ICE / Anon.
Date: 2009.
In: Polar Research in Tromsø. (2009.), (2009)
Abstract: Outlines research programmes of Centre for Ice Climate and Environment (ICE), established in 2009 to develop Norwegian Polar Institute's position as leading force in climate-related polar research. ICE's programmes cover sea ice, snow, glaciers and effects of climate change on ice-associated ecosystems in polar regions. Scope of ICE also includes international exchange of knowledge regarding melting of high altitude glaciers (e.g. in Andes and Himalayas). Much attention is given to energy and matter exchange between ocean, ice and atmosphere, as well as thickness and distribution of Arctic sea ice.
