Abstract: Examines northern governance in two regions: Nunavik (northern Quebec) and Nunatsiavut (northern Labrador). Nunavik has enjoyed some administrative autonomy since signing of James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (1975) and is currently negotiating creation of its own regional government. Nunatsiavut government was drafted in 2005, following ratification of Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement.
