Title: Acylation stimulating protein is higher in Inuit from Nunavik compared to a southern Quebec population / Jessica D. Smith, and 6 others.
Author(s): Smith, Jessica D.
Date: 2009.
In: International Journal of Circumpolar Health. (2009.), Vol. 68(5) (2009)
Abstract: Reports results of cross-sectional study determining plasma concentration of acylation stimulating protein (ASP) in Inuit and in southern Quebec Caucasian population. Finds ASP to be significantly higher in both Inuit men and women compared with Caucasian men and women. In addition, ASP significantly correlated with total retinol and free retinol in Inuit men but not with other distinctive dietary markers such as omega-3 fatty acids.
