Abstract: Describes effects of tourist disturbance on three goose species breeding on Svalbard: pink-footed goose (Anser brachyrhynchus), barnacle goose (Branta leucopsis) and light-bellied Brent goose (Branta bernicla hrota). Evaluates consequences of human intrusion on reproductive success in breeding colonies. Discusses need for further research on vulnerability of geese to human activity.
