Title: Screening infants with social and emotional problems: a pilot study of the Brief Infant Toddler Social and Emotional Assessment (BITSEA) in northern Finland / Helena Haapsamo, and 7 others.
Author(s): Haapsamo, Helena.
Date: 2009.
In: International Journal of Circumpolar Health. (2009.), Vol. 68(4) (2009)
Abstract: Presents comparison between three questionnaires used to evaluate early development problems, emotional disturbances and competence in 18-month-old infants: Brief Infant Toddler Social and Emotional Assessment (BITSEA), Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) and MacArthur Communicative Development Inventories (MCDI). Finds that BITSEA-questionnaire results (total problem scores) have strong correlation with most sub-scales of CBCL. Also finds that MCDI gives more precise information concerning infants' developmental problems.
