| Abstract: | Presents results of study measuring contents of n-3 fatty acids and n-3/n-6 ratio in erythrocyte membrane phospholipids, based on sample of 452 individuals aged 18 and above in Greenland. Finds inverse association between C20:5 n-3, C22:3 n-3, the n-3/n-6 ratio and HOMA-IR (index based on fasting-glucose and fasting-insulin), and positive association between C18:3 n-3 cis and HOMA-IR. |
