Record #189164:

Winter to winter variability of chlorine activation and ozone loss as observed by ground-based FTIR measurements at Kiruna since winter 1993/94 / T. Blumenstock, and 6 others.

Title: Winter to winter variability of chlorine activation and ozone loss as observed by ground-based FTIR measurements at Kiruna since winter 1993/94 / T. Blumenstock, and 6 others.
Author(s): Blumenstock, T.
Date: 2009.
In: International Journal of Remote Sensing. (2009.), Vol. 30(15-16) (2009)
Abstract: Discusses long-term Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) measurements obtained in polar vortex at Kiruna station, Arctic Sweden. Kiruna's preferential location with relation to polar vortex has enabled collection of more than 120 days of observations since 1993. Total column ozone losses of up to 28% have been measured in winters of 1995, 1996, 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2007. Comparison of observed ozone loss with data from Système d'Analyse par Observation Zénithale (SAOZ) network shows very good agreement.
Notes:

International Journal of Remote Sensing. Vol. 30(15-16) :4055-4064 (2009).

In special issue 1989-2009 remote sensing and the implementation of the Montreal Protocol.
