Inflow of Atlantic-origin waters to the Barents Sea along glacial troughs / Gennady Matishov, Dmitry G. Matishov, Denis V. Moiseev.
Title: | Inflow of Atlantic-origin waters to the Barents Sea along glacial troughs / Gennady Matishov, Dmitry G. Matishov, Denis V. Moiseev. |
Author(s): | Matishov, Gennady. Matishov, Dmitry G. Moiseev, Denis V. |
Date: | 2009. |
In: | Oceanologia. (2009.), Vol. 51(3) (2009) |
Abstract: | Discusses role of glacial shelf topography in formation of general oceanological and biological mechanisms in Barents Sea. Analysis of geomorphological data and oceanographical observations obtained between 2001-2008 shows that fluxes of Atlantic-origin water pass along glacial troughs, and that inflow of Atlantic waters to Barents Sea from west increased from 2001-2007. |
Notes: | Oceanologia. Vol. 51(3) :321-340 (2009). |
