Record #189120:
Preliminary study on particulate organic carbon export fluxes in the Bering Sea / Hao Ma, and 5 others.
Title: | Preliminary study on particulate organic carbon export fluxes in the Bering Sea / Hao Ma, and 5 others. |
Author(s): | Ma, Hao. |
Date: | 2009. |
Language: | Chinese. |
In: | Chinese Journal of Polar Research. (2009.), Vol. 21(2) (2009) |
Abstract: | Reports sampling and analysis of ²³⁴Th in upper water columns at two stations in Bering Sea, during Second Chinese National Arctic Expedition from July-September 2003. Estimates particulate organic carbon (POC) from one-dimensional irreversible steady-state model of ²³⁴Th fluxes. Ratios of POC fluxes to primary production in Bering Sea are approx. 0.5 and 0.59, probably due to presence of large phytoplankton (diatoms in particular). |
Notes: | Chinese Journal of Polar Research. Vol. 21(2) :116-123 (2009). English abstract. |
