Record #188877:

HeardMap: tracking marine vertebate populations in near real time / S. Frydman, N. Gales.

Title: HeardMap: tracking marine vertebate populations in near real time / S. Frydman, N. Gales.
Author(s): Frydman, S.
Gales, N.
Date: 2007.
Publisher: [Amsterdam]: Elsevier
Abstract: Uses computer programme HeardMap to acquire relative intensity scale of areas of foraging and non-foraging activity of marine vertebrate predator populations around sub-Antarctic Heard Island during austral summer 2003-04. Most of 226 tagged meso-pelagic predators foraged in area to east of island. Results demonstrate that HeardMap programme can track large numbers of predators of various species in near-real-time.
