Abstract: Reports launch of Arctic Ocean Geopolitics Programme at Scott Polar Research Institute, Cambridge, in September 2008. Programme's objectives are: to enhance co-operation in an international, interdisciplinary and inclusive manner among existing research teams focusing on Arctic Ocean's geopolitics; to provide parliamentary, governmental, civil-society and industry audiences with objective analyses of environmental security issues; and to identify lessons from Arctic Ocean regarding governance dynamics of nation states and international spaces beyond national jurisdiction.
