| Abstract: | Discusses distribution and taxonomic status of Alaska marmot (Marmota broweri). Reviews museum specimens and published accounts of species and field surveys. Identifies previously unidentified marmot specimens. Determines that current distribution of Alaska marmot includes not only Brooks Range, but also Ray Mountains and Kokrines Hills of northern interior Alaska. |
