Abstract: Reports programme of archaeological field work designed to develop more elaborate and detailed understanding of culture history and land-use of northern interior of Quebec-Labrador peninsula. Aim is to locate and document sites that might address following research questions: extent to which interior resources and interior adaptations influence initial colonisation of Quebec-Labrador peninsula following deglaciation; and extraordinary presence and visibility of late-19th/early-20th century ancestral Innu habitation sites in historical landscape at Indian House Lake, Kamestastin, Fort Chimo/Kuujjuaq, and central coast of Labrador.
