Record #188306:

Optical dating of relict sand wedges and composite-wedge pseudomorphs in Flanders, Belgium / Jan-Pieter Buylaert.

Title: Optical dating of relict sand wedges and composite-wedge pseudomorphs in Flanders, Belgium / Jan-Pieter Buylaert.
Author(s): Buylaert, Jan-Pieter.
Date: 2009.
In: Boreas. (2009.), Vol. 38(1) (2009)
Abstract: Reports study of 14 sand-filled wedges from five locations in Flanders. Interprets these as relict sand wedges and composite-wedge pseudomorphs that were either exclusively or to a very large degree filled with primary sand infill. Investigates luminescence characteristics of sand-size quartz from wedge infill to test its suitability for optical dating using single-aliquot regenerative-dose (SAR) procedure. Tests completeness of bleaching of wedge infills of two samples and presents optical ages.
Notes:
