| Abstract: | Reports announcement by Natural Environmental Research Council (NERC) of proposal to open new office to support UK Arctic researchers, and enable them to get access to essential infrastructure (such as research ships and aircraft). Office will also manage recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between UK and Canada, in which two nations agreed to share resources and increase science cooperation. NERC anticipates negotiating further agreements with other Arctic rim nations to improve access for UK researchers. |
