Record #188262:
Temperature and rainfall control of the outflow from the Scott Glacier catchment (Svalbard) in the summers of 2005 and 2006 / Stefan Bartoszewski, and 3 others.
Title: | Temperature and rainfall control of the outflow from the Scott Glacier catchment (Svalbard) in the summers of 2005 and 2006 / Stefan Bartoszewski, and 3 others. |
Author(s): | Bartoszewski, Stefan. |
Date: | 2009. |
In: | Norsk Geografisk Tidsskrift. (2009.), Vol. 63(2) (2009) |
Abstract: | Examines characteristics of meteorological and runoff time-series collected from Scott Glacier catchment, Svalbard. River discharge of Scottelva (Scott River) is monitored at gauging station situated near mouth of Recherche Fjord. Meteorological time-series (air temperature and precipitation) are monitored in Calypsobyen. Analysis shows relationships between meteorological and hydrological time-series, and between amount and intensity of glacial ablation on runoff at Scottelva. |
Notes: | Norsk Geografisk Tidsskrift. Vol. 63(2) :107-114 (2009). In special issue Environmental fluxes in polar regions under changing climate. |
