Abstract: Investigates influences of changing climate and geocryological conditions on hydrology of river basins in permafrost regions, using example of Lena watershed in Southern Yakutiya. Models 2-d conjugated groundwater flow-heat problem to show permafrost becoming colder under influence of descending cold infiltration water in comparison with pure conductive geothermal heat case, and convective open talik in river valley becoming stable. Even at great depths, temperature fields and permafrost shape are sensible to water precipitation infiltration in thawed areas. As results of permafrost degradation, areas of groundwater feeding and reservoir capacity of fissured rock increase and river discharge changes. Characterizes temperature field of convective taliks in areas of discontinuous permafrost and discharge tributaries of Lena.
