Record #188141:
Trends in vegetation NDVI from 1 km AVHRR data over Canada for the period 1985-2006 / D. Pouliot, R. Latifovic, I. Olthof.
Title: | Trends in vegetation NDVI from 1 km AVHRR data over Canada for the period 1985-2006 / D. Pouliot, R. Latifovic, I. Olthof. |
Author(s): | Pouliot, D. Latifovic, R. Olthof, I. |
Date: | 2009. |
In: | International Journal of Remote Sensing. (2009.), Vol. 30(1-2) (2009) |
Abstract: | Evaluates long-term changes in Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) over Canada, using satellite data record for period 1985-2006. Also evaluates climate and land cover change as potential causes of observed trends in eight sample regions. Results of trend analysis show positive northern NDVI trends, supporting northern greening phenomenon identified in other studies. |
