Record #188043:

Contemporary (1951-2001) evolution of lakes in the Old Crow Basin, northern Yukon, Canada: remote sensing, numerical modeling, and stable isotope analysis / Sylvain Labrecque, and 4 others.

Title: Contemporary (1951-2001) evolution of lakes in the Old Crow Basin, northern Yukon, Canada: remote sensing, numerical modeling, and stable isotope analysis / Sylvain Labrecque, and 4 others.
Author(s): Labrecque, Sylvain.
Date: 2009.
In: Arctic. (2009.), Vol. 62(2) (2009)
Abstract: Presents data on changes in distribution, surface area, and modern water balance of lakes and ponds located in Old Crow Basin over 50-year period, using aerial photographs, satellite imagery, numerical model, and stable O-H isotope analysis. Results show overall decrease (-3.5%) in lake surface area between 1951-2001. Observed trends are mainly attributable to warmer and drier climate.
