Abstract: Identifies specific research needed to support implementation of forest plan for Champagne and Aishnihik Traditional Territory, south-west Yukon, using sessions with local forest practitioners and community climate-change workshop. Local residents highlight importance of formalising monitoring network based on local knowledge as part of broader adaptive management framework. Residents also request important role in any discussion on adapting existing forest management plans, practices and policies to incorporate climate-change considerations.
