Record #188037:
Factors influencing colony attendance by northern fulmars in the Canadian High Arctic / Mark L. Mallory, and 3 others.
Title: | Factors influencing colony attendance by northern fulmars in the Canadian High Arctic / Mark L. Mallory, and 3 others. |
Author(s): | Mallory, Mark L. |
Date: | 2009. |
In: | Arctic. (2009.), Vol. 62(2) (2009) |
Abstract: | Examines attendance patterns of northern fulmars (Fulmarus glacialis) at two colonies in Canadian High Arctic to assess variation in attendance at high latitudes, to compare patterns with those for fulmars breeding in southern colonies, and to determine how weather conditions and breeding conditions might influence attendance. Colony attendance patterns share similarities across species' range, although local variation in timing of food supplies may explain differences in seasonal timing of peak counts at colonies. |
