| Abstract: | Presents results from monitoring and experimental studies to evaluate concurrent dynamics of vegetation types and species-specific responses to climatic variations. Studies were carried out in High-Arctic valley of Zackenbergdalen. Finds time of snowmelt and temperature to be major controlling factors for timing of phenology in six vegetation types: fen-field, Dryas heath, Cassiope heath, Salix heath, grassland and fen. |
