Record #187818:

Divergence among Arctic and alpine populations of the annual, Koenigia islandica: morphology, life-history and phenology / Ioan Wagner, Andrew M. Simons.

Title: Divergence among Arctic and alpine populations of the annual, Koenigia islandica: morphology, life-history and phenology / Ioan Wagner, Andrew M. Simons.
Author(s): Wagner, Ioan.
Simons, Andrew M.
Date: 2009.
In: Ecography. (2009.), Vol. 32(1) (2009)
Abstract: Identifies and discusses morphological, life-history and phenological differences between and among six widely distributed populations of Arctic-alpine annual Koenigia islandica. On basis of phenology, populations can be grouped into Arctic, high-latitude alpine and alpine populations: Arctic plants are found to develop and flower earliest; alpine plants latest. Discusses possible adaptive explanations for observed differences among geographically divergent populations.
