Abstract: | Reveals zonal patterns of above-ground phytomass dynamics and carbon storage in vegetation, phytodetritus and humus, based on study of carbon balance and its components in forest ecosystems of Yenisey meridian transect, which includes forest tundra, northern, middle and southern taiga. Highlights uncertainties in estimating parameters of carbon cycle of Siberian forest ecosystems due to wildfires. Describes role of forest-bog and bog ecosystems in carbon accumulation in Siberia. |
