Record #187735:

Regional climate model estimates for changes in Nordic extreme events / Lasse Makkonen, and 3 others.

Title: Regional climate model estimates for changes in Nordic extreme events / Lasse Makkonen, and 3 others.
Author(s): Makkonen, Lasse.
Date: 2007.
In: Geophysica. (2007.), Vol. 43(1-2) (2007)
Abstract: Presents estimates for changes in extreme weather events in northern Europe resulting from climate change, using regional climate model simulations. Notes that, in high-latitude areas such as Nordic countries, where variations in snow and ice cover tend to amplify temperature changes, warming is likely to exceed global average, particularly in winter.
