Record #187735:
Regional climate model estimates for changes in Nordic extreme events / Lasse Makkonen, and 3 others.
Title: | Regional climate model estimates for changes in Nordic extreme events / Lasse Makkonen, and 3 others. |
Author(s): | Makkonen, Lasse. |
Date: | 2007. |
In: | Geophysica. (2007.), Vol. 43(1-2) (2007) |
Abstract: | Presents estimates for changes in extreme weather events in northern Europe resulting from climate change, using regional climate model simulations. Notes that, in high-latitude areas such as Nordic countries, where variations in snow and ice cover tend to amplify temperature changes, warming is likely to exceed global average, particularly in winter. |
Notes: | Geophysica. Vol. 43(1-2) :25-48 (2007). |
