| Abstract: | Reviews formulation of Northern Archaic (as applied to notched-point-bearing artefact assemblages found in Alaska and Yukon) and presents critical compilation of 200 notched point sites. Radiocarbon dates from sites show that tradition falls mainly into range 3000-6000 years B.P. Sites cluster in mountainous areas within and beyond spruce tree line. |
