Abstract: Describes construction of process-based model for simulating ecosystem carbon flows on glacier foreland in Svalbard. Uses model to examine responses of net ecosystem production (NEP) to temperature increase. Finds that NEP under projected warming conditions can be both positive and negative depending on temperature, leaf longevity and plant biomasses.
