Abstract: Presents soil temperature changes of shallow depth among heavily-burned, moderately-burned and lightly burned sites in Poker Flats Research Range, Alaska (resulting from 2004 Boundary Fire). Also discusses controlling factors affecting soil thermal regime, using in situ physical soil characteristics data (soil temperature and water content) obtained by pit surveys.
