| Abstract: | Present-day Atlantic waters flowing into Arctic Ocean are characterised by lower oxygen and silicate concentrations together with higher temperatures. Analysis of transects in Kara Sea continental slope region reveals changes in vertical distribution of nutrients, due to higher temperature of Atlantic waters in comparison with post-1975 average. Finds warming to be more evident since 1992 and East Siberian sea waters to be displaced from north-eastern part of Laptev Sea. |
