| Abstract: | Investigates distribution of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) by collecting sediment, moss and seabird droppings from Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard, and analysing by capillary gas chromatography. Results of ratio analysis of HCHs and DDTs and principal component analysis of PCBs demonstrate that atmospheric transport is important contamination mechanism. |
