Abstract: Examines pre-adolescent use of harmful but legally obtainable products (including inhalants, patent medicines, prescription medications taken without doctor's prescription and common household products) in four communities in north-west and south-east Alaska. Finds use of such products by fifth, sixth and seventh graders in Alaska to be similar to data collected in other parts of US.
