| Abstract: | Analyzes results of numerical experiments based on one-dimensional thermodynamic model of hummock formation and evolution. Uses model to compute relative rates of freezing and melting of hummocks in typical conditions of north-eastern shelf of Sakhalin island. Compares obtained values with level sea ice cover parameters simulated using climatic and meteorological data. Reports that results comply well with observational data from expeditions in this region. |
