Record #186751:
The Botneheia Formation (Middle Triassic) in Edgeøya and Barentsøya, Svalbard: lithostratigraphy, facies, phosphogenesis, paleoenvironment / Krzystztof P. Krajewski.
Title: | The Botneheia Formation (Middle Triassic) in Edgeøya and Barentsøya, Svalbard: lithostratigraphy, facies, phosphogenesis, paleoenvironment / Krzystztof P. Krajewski. |
Author(s): | Krajewski, Krzystztof P. |
Date: | 2008. |
In: | Polish Polar Research. (2008.), Vol. 29(4) (2008) |
Abstract: | Presents new lithostratigraphic division of Botneheia Formation, palaeoenviromental interpretation and reconstruction of depositional history. Observes that formation records second-order transgressive-regressive cycle in Triassic succession of Svalbard that was developed in open shelf environment; also that it embraces two superimposed, third-order transgessive pulses followed by stepwise regression. |
