Record #186731:
Rain water chemistry at Calypsobyen, Svalbard / Wieslawa Ewa Krawczyk, Stefan A. Bartoszewski, Krysztof Siwek.
Title: | Rain water chemistry at Calypsobyen, Svalbard / Wieslawa Ewa Krawczyk, Stefan A. Bartoszewski, Krysztof Siwek. |
Author(s): | Krawczyk, Wieslawa Ewa. Bartoszewski, Stefan A. Siwek, Krysztof. |
Date: | 2008. |
In: | Polish Polar Research. (2008.), Vol. 29(2) (2008) |
Abstract: | Presents measurements of pollutants scavenged from air masses over southern Svalbard in summer precipitation. Measurements comprise specific conductivity and pH, with ion concentrations determined by chromatography. Uses FLEXTRA trajectory model to discover sources of air masses arriving at Svalbard and to track paths of pollutant transport. Finds polluted air masses to originate mainly in northern and central Europe. |
Notes: | Polish Polar Research. Vol. 29(2) :149-162 (2008). |
