Record #186652:
Modelling of long-range transport of contaminants from potential sources in the Arctic Ocean by water and sea ice / Vladimir Pavlov.
Title: | Modelling of long-range transport of contaminants from potential sources in the Arctic Ocean by water and sea ice / Vladimir Pavlov. |
Author(s): | Pavlov, Vladimir. |
Date: | 2007. |
Publisher: | Berlin: Springer |
In: | Arctic alpine ecosystems and people in a changing environment. (2007.), |
Abstract: | Discusses results of simulation of transport of passive non-conservative tracers by currents from various possible sources in Arctic Ocean and Nordic seas. Uses 3-D baroclinic ocean model developed at Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AARI) for simulation vectors of ocean currents. Also considers possible transport of contaminants by sea ice, using Ice Statistical Model developed at Norwegian Polar Institute. |
Notes: | In: Arctic alpine ecosystems and people in a changing environment / Jon Børre Ørbaek, Roland Kallenborn, Ingunn Tombre, eds. |
