On the nature of the 2006/07 cooling in the northern Gulf of Alaska / Markus Janout.
Title: | On the nature of the 2006/07 cooling in the northern Gulf of Alaska / Markus Janout. |
Author(s): | Janout, Markus. |
Date: | 2008. |
In: | Global Glimpses. (2008.), Vol. 15(1) (2008) |
Abstract: | Outlines project to study processes that may be important in controlling temperature variability in northern Gulf of Alaska, using oceanographic data collected at GAK1 (coastal hydrographic station located at mouth of Resurrection Bay). GAK1 provides longest time-series in Gulf of Alaska, from 1970-present, and these data are compared with corresponding information from atmosphere to determine importance of salinity and timing of cooling events on temperature variability. |
Notes: | Global Glimpses. Vol. 15(1) :4-5 (2008). |
