| Abstract: | Analyses vocalisations recorded in vicinity of sighted blue (Balaenoptera musculus) and fin (B. physalus) whales in North Atlantic between Iceland and Greenland in August 2004 by hydrophone towed behind research vessel and by free-floating sonobuoys. Finds structures of recorded calls to be similar to those reported from other areas, but lacking stereotypical patterning of signals thought to represent reproductive displays. |
