| Abstract: | Documents patterns of pond use over breeding season and investigates pond characteristics associated with high occupancy by red-necked phalaropes (Phalaropus lobatus). Finds that frequency of occupancy declines between onset of incubation and average hatch dates; also that neither invertebrate assemblages (potential prey) nor physical characteristics (water chemistry and vegetational characteristics) vary significantly between ponds categorised as high-use, low-use and no-use. |
