| Abstract: | Presents data on vertical flow of sedimentary matter in bay on Murmansk coast, obtained for first time. Finds that weight and amount of accumulation in small sedimentary trap provides evidence of active redistribution of matter within bay, primarily due to coastal current. Analysis of surface bottom sediments and composition of matter allows annual rate of current sediment accumulation to be estimated at 1-2 mm. |
