| Abstract: | Distinguishes Silurian, Upper Devonian and Low Permian deposits as major source rocks in sedimentary cover of Pechora Sea. Constructs schema of types of organic matter for each deposit based on complex extrapolation of palaeogeographic and organo-geochemical data obtained from drilling holes in region. Calculates present-day and estimates Low Permian temperature conditions. Concludes that undrilled structures within petroleum kitchens and those in vicinity have greatest potential for oil and gas exploration. |
