Abstract: Presents reconstruction of multi-decadal to centennial scale changes in intensity of regional atmospheric circulation since Medieval Warm period, using published marine sediment core records and new information from terrestrial aeolian deposits from surroundings of Igaliku Fjord. Marine and terrestrial sedimentary records indicate enhanced aeolian activity between 900-1300 AD, with atmospheric circulation regime characterised by occurrence of active low pressure centres moving from east Canada via southern Greenland to Iceland region, presumably reflecting positive North Atlantic oscillation index.
