Title: Property ownership in North Dawson City during the Klondike Gold Rush / Michael Brand.
Author(s): Brand, Michael.
Date: 2008.
In: Northern Review. (2008.), Vol. 29 (2008)
Abstract: Examines development of Dawson City during and immediately after Klondike Gold Rush, focusing on series of cabin platforms recorded during archaeological survey on hillside in north Dawson City. Uses property ownership information collected from Yukon Archives and Whitehorse Land Titles Office to compare lots on hillside with those in level portion of Government Addition, and identify owners of lots containing cabin platforms. Results indicate that hillside lots were less desirable than those in level portions of community.
