Abstract: Explores difference between aboriginal Athapaskan (Dineh) conceptions of "bush" and its occupation by "other-than-human" persons, and Euro-Canadian views of "wilderness" and its "natural resources". Considers misunderstandings arising from distinctive perceptions in area of "joint management" (provision under Umbrella Final Agreement (UFA) on aboriginal land claims, signed by Council of Yukon First Nations and governments of Yukon and Canada).
