| Abstract: | Analyzes cross sections of sediment forming coastal terraces and concludes that at final stage of Late Würmian, shelf ice fully occupied region of present-day Voronka inlet of White Sea. This could have been formed by margins of ice sheet which covered Kola and Kanin peninsulas and also central White Sea basin. Examines Holocene and modern coastal dynamics of north-east White Sea. On basis of mathematical modelling, forecasts evolution of accretionary and thermoabrasive coasts for next 100 years. |
