Abstract: Extends morphodynamic model, originally developed for forecasting evolution of sedimentary coasts, to compare effects of abrasion and thermal-abrasion processes on Arctic coasts. Uses model to predict evolution of thermal-abrasion and accretionary coasts in central and eastern Russian Arctic where current sea-ice conditions are more severe. Expects thermal abrasion of cliffs to accelerate by 1.4-1.5 times during second half of 21st century.
