Термический режим грунтов и динамика метеорологических параметров на Антарктическом полуострове (станция Беллинсгаузен)

Title: Термический режим грунтов и динамика метеорологических параметров на Антарктическом полуострове (станция Беллинсгаузен)
Title, transliterated: Termicheskiĭ rezhim gruntov i dinamika meteorologicheskikh parametrov na Antarkticheskom poluostrove (stant︠s︡ii︠a︡ Bellinsgauzen) / N.I. Osokin, A.V. Sosnovskiĭ, E.S. Pugacheva.
Translated title: Soil thermal regime and dynamics of meteorological parameters in Antarctic Peninsula (Bellingshausen station).
Author(s): Osokin, N. I.

Date: 2007.
Language: Russian.
In: Materialy Gli︠a︡t︠s︡iologicheskikh Issledovaniĭ. (2007.), Vol. 103 (2007)
Abstract: Examines permafrost changes in area of Bellingshausen station in context of changes in meteorological elements. Analyzes variability of air temperature, precipitation, wind velocity, etc., for last 10 years, and changes in total solid precipitation and solar radiation since 1968. Finds summer temperatures and solid precipitations have diminished during last 10 years. Calculations based on relationships between depth of soil melting and time of freezing of thawed layer on mean winter and summer temperatures and snow depth show that permafrost is not degrading under current climatic conditions. Notes that formation of a talik in permafrost can begin when mean summer temperature reaches 2.6°C.
