Формирование высокогорных озер как следствие деградации современного оледенения Тянь-Шаня

Title: Формирование высокогорных озер как следствие деградации современного оледенения Тянь-Шаня
Title, transliterated: Formirovanie vysokogornykh ozer kak sledstvie degradat︠s︡ii sovremennogo oledenenii︠a︡ Ti︠a︡nʹ-Shani︠a︡ / R.A. Usubaliev, S.A. Erokin.
Translated title: Origin of high-mountain lakes as a result of current glacier degradation in Tien Shan.
Author(s): Usubaliev, R. A.
Erokin, S. A.
Ėrokin, S. A.
Date: 2007.
Language: Russian.
In: Materialy Gli︠a︡t︠s︡iologicheskikh Issledovaniĭ. (2007.), Vol. 103 (2007)
Abstract: Examines formation and evolution of glacial lakes in Tien Shan and proposes classification of ice-dammed lakes. Notes that glacial and moraine-glacial lakes are related to waning ice. Divides glacial lakes into those located on glacier surface, and intraglacier and ice-dammed types, and divides moraine-glacial lakes into those of intramoraine depressions and thermokarst funnels. Moraine-glacial lakes of intramoraine depressions are further divided into bath lakes (vanny ozer in Russian) formed near glacier tongue directly, bath lakes with waning glaciers, and bath lakes occasionally filled with water. Illustrates with examples from Petrov Glacier and Beshtash Lake (Northern Tien Shan)
